A bunch of astronauts on the ISS, experiment on a new life form from Mars. They eventually piss it off and it goes mental at everyone and totally fucks shit up.
$58 – $62 million
Astronauts (Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, Ryan Reynolds) aboard the International Space Station are on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As members of the crew conduct their research, the rapidly evolving life-form proves far more intelligent and terrifying than anyone could have imagined.
This film was pretty wicked to be honest. I wanted to see it when it first came out but I never wanted to see it enough to go to the cinema… and after seeing it on Netflix, I wish I had.
There’s plenty of twists and turns and I think it’s best to see it knowing as little as possible. Let’s just say it’s a cross between Alien and Gravity, and although not as good as them, it’s certainly an attention grabber and will keep you engaged from start to finish.
Poking a new alien life form with an electric shock tool thingy, isn’t the brightest of ideas, but then if he didn’t, we wouldn’t have had a film. So hats off to the stupid scientist.
SCORE : 8/10
Yeah, 8 out of 10. Listen, I like me some aliens, I enjoy ‘sciencey’ stuff, and I absolute love some astronaut shenanigans. So combine those three bad boys and you have my attention.
What do the others say?
Don’t just take my word for it, have a look to see what the big players like Rotten Tomatoes (RT), IMBD and Meteoritic. No Honest Trailer for this so on the right you can enjoy some behind the scene stuff with the charismatic but smug looking Ryan Reynolds.
